"To advise government, private sector interests, and the general public on matters concerning off-road cycling in the Tri-Cities area."
Eventually, TORCC would like to, in association with landowners, coordinate trail construction and maintenance. As well, off road cycling events and races are also being considered for some time in the future.

| Joan Jones Joan Jones took to the trails in the early nineties as a top Masters cross-country and downhill racer and continues to push her limits in trials and freeriding. Her work as coach and instructor began with the hosting of "Trail Tips", a skills segment on the now defunct show "CYCLE!", which aired on CBC TV in the mid-1990’s. In 1995 Joan started the West Coast School of Mountain Biking where she taught riders, trained instructors, and designed programs for over four thousand participants of camps and clinics. In 2001 she teamed up with Daamiann Skelton to start Canadian Mountainbike Instructor Certification (CMIC) where some 400 riders received training as ride leaders, guides and instructors. Joan and Daamiann have also developed and instructed courses for the Capilano College Wilderness Leadership Program and the Capilano College Mountain Bike Operations Program. Joan is a guest writer for Pedal Magazine and the producer of two instructional DVDs: West Coast Style- Mountain Biking and West Coast Style - Freeride Fundamentals. Reno Koeleman Although Reno no longer lives in the Tri-Cities area, his primary riding area is Eagle and Burke Mountains. He started mountain biking in 1983. His trail building experience goes back to the late '80s. In the early '90s he was active in cross country competitions. His main focus and goal is to create a network of sustainable all-weather trails for cross country and intermediate cyclists on Eagle Mountain. He considers this area to be one of the last undeveloped areas near the downtown core and sees an incredible amount of potential there for cyclists and all outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy wilderness experiences. |
| Ken Porter Ken grew up in Richmond, a land devoid of mountains and singletrack. As an environmental refugee, he found sanctuary in the Tri-Cities and quickly learned to ride his bike among the roots and mud. He has been an advocate for youth mountain biking for over ten years. He coaches a mountain bike club for kids every season which regularly has 40 or more participants. He has been a director of SPOKE, an organization that puts on events and races for school-aged kids. Ken has also participated in the Eagle Mountain Park Planning Group and the Off-Road Cycling Task Force in Coquitlam. Ken can be found riding the trails on Eagle Mountain. If you see him with his bike's wheels above his head, don't be alarmed - just give him a hand up if you could. |
